The American Mural Project is a nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire, educate, and invite collaboration. Support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government entities helps fund:

o After-school enrichment programs
o Summer programs
o Teacher professional development programs
o Worker-in-Training (WIT) internship program, in partnership with Northwest Connecticut Community College
Capital improvements
o Stairways
o Elevator
o Ramps
o Railings
o Program space
Mural Installation
o Help purchase resin and other materials to assemble and install all of the collaborative projects created across the country—about 1,500 kids' pieces—on the back ramp
