Summer @AMP: FAQ

AMP serves a diverse community and welcomes families of all backgrounds, abilities, and orientations. We strive to ensure a sense of belonging for all. 

Discounts

Early Bird Discount ($25) will be applied when you register before March 30.

Sibling Discount ($25) is available to families. When you register more than one child, use the coupon code AMPSIBLING2025 for each subsequent child's registration.

Discounts cannot be combined.

Scholarships

AMP is grateful to partner with The Kids of Summer Foundation to provide scholarships to ensure that our summer programs are accessible to all. The foundation reviews all applications and awards the scholarships based on need. 

Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration and application are essential. 

When you register for your desired Summer @AMP program, simply indicate that you are applying for a scholarship. You will be prompted to pay a refundable $50 deposit. Your deposit will hold your place in the program while you submit your scholarship application and await notification of the amount you will receive. 

Please note that full scholarships are not an option, so your deposit will be applied to the tuition owed after any scholarship award funds are applied.

Apply now for a scholarship for the best chance of receiving one. 


Tax Deductions

Summer @AMP programs may be tax deductible if your child is under 13. Check with your tax advisor for details.

Prerequisites

No experience or auditions are required for Summer @AMP programs except for Outdoor Design & Build - Advanced.

To register for ODB Advanced, you must meet ONE of these requirements:

  • Successful completion of Outdoor Design & Build in a previous year.

  • Successful completion of one Outdoor Design & Build: Basic session this year. 

  • Pass a basic carpentry skills assessment (Request an assessment when you register.)


Registration

Registration opens on March 3 and remains open until the program is filled or by one week prior to the start date of the program, whichever comes first. To register, fill out the online registration form for the specific program. 

If you are registering a child for more than one program, you must fill out an online registration form for each program. The form will auto-fill much of the information after you submit your first form. 

If you are registering more than one child, you must fill out an online registration form for each child for each program. You are eligible for a sibling discount when you register more than one child. 

Payment is due at the time of registration. If you are applying for a scholarship, a refundable $50 deposit is required to register. 

After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with next steps.

Health Forms

A current health form, signed by your child’s health practitioner, is required for each child you register.  The form must document that your child has received a physical examination within two years of the Summer @AMP program start date. You may use the CT State Health Form, or another health form, as long as it is filled out and signed by your child’s physician. 

Health forms must be submitted in advance of your child’s attendance. Your child cannot attend Summer @AMP until the required health form is submitted.
