AMP is hosting a small works art show celebrating the work of love, in the Art House at 74 Whiting Street in Winsted (next to our mill building that is currently under construction).
Exhibit and sale runs from Friday, February 2-Sunday, February 11, from 4-7pm. Additional hours by appointment.
All pieces are for sale, with a focus on affordable gifts prior to Valentine’s Day.
Reception takes places on Friday, February 9, 6-8:45pm, with a poetry reading by Joan Kantor at 8pm, as well as refreshments.
Join us at AMP’s Art House on Sunday, February 11, 1–4pm, to create love notes and Valentines to honor the workers you admire and love—anyone from family and friends to military service members or your favorite carpenter. Try your hand at poetry, assemblage, and printmaking using a variety of fun art materials. Led by AMP’s director of education, Christine Mitchell.
All ages welcome; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. $10 materials fee/person (up to 5 cards).
What to bring: old pictures, small boxes, broken jewelry, old cards, and a sense of adventure. No previous art experience required.
